Eco-vending from a super green truck
If this thing’s dad was a roach coach, this apple fell far from the tree. It is clean, shiny, eco-friendly, and carries good, healthy food! They call it “EcoVending” (R) and it involves healthy, local food delivered all over Washington, D.C.
Built on an American made GEM electric vehicle chassis, this green truck will deliver the above mentioned yummies almsot anywhere. They’re also opening a few stationary locations in high-traffic areas around DC beginning at the Farragut North Metro Stop. They’ve got a website, check it out here.
Now that’s an eco-innovation!

Use of green vehicles will also decrease consumption for fuel as compared to a normal car resulting in savings for the consumers. Also with the use of new technology, cost in making brakes for these environment friendly cars has also been reduced, lowering the overall cost for the manufacturer.

Green Truck’s commitment to environmental responsibility goes far beyond its choice of food: Green Truck’s commissary is solar-powered and its truck runs on used vegetable oils from the Green Truck itself and other local restaurants. Food is served with compostable and biodegradable dishes, containers, and cutlery. In addition to its street food business, the Green Truck also offers gourmet green event catering and food delivery services.

This is all well and good, until demand for electricity to charge all the new electric cars surpasses supply, and new fossil fueled power plants are built to makeup the short fall.

wow! this is so great. I love their idea.. Nature friendly.. I’m sure not only kids will love it. But also the big one. Aside from convenient for them to buy foods it can also help mother nature away from pollution.
